Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an RPG developed by the creators of Vampyr, allowing players to take on the role of a ghost hunter and his spectral companion in 17th-century America. The game, crafted by Don't Nod, emphasizes tough moral choices that affect whether the protagonist can revive his beloved. 

Set in North America in 1695, the main characters are ghost hunters and lovers – Antea Duarte from Cuba and Red mac Raith from Scotland. During their mission to free the New Eden colony from the grip of a powerful specter, Antea is killed, but her spirit remains with Red, unable to pass on to the afterlife. Together, they continue their battle against the curse plaguing the settlers while also striving to either resurrect Antea or grant her eternal rest, based on the player's decisions.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden features RPG gameplay with a third-person perspective (TPP) and an action-oriented combat system. Players explore a semi-open world composed of linear locations, completing main and side quests, solving environmental puzzles, and fighting ghosts and wraiths.
