Call of Duty: Vanguard is the eighteenth main installment in the Call of Duty series, published by Activision. The game transports players back to the fronts of World War II, allowing them to assume the roles of four different protagonists. These include British paratrooper Arthur Kingsley, sniper Polina Petrova serving in Stalingrad, American pilot Wade Jackson involved in the Battle of Midway, and Australian soldier Lucas Riggs, a member of the "Rats of Tobruk" fighting in North Africa. As their stories unfold, their fates intertwine, forming the first special forces unit tasked with stopping a mysterious operation called "Project Phoenix."

The gameplay in Call of Duty: Vanguard is presented from a first-person perspective (FPP).
