Beholder 3 is the third installment in the series inspired by George Orwell's works. In this game, you play as Frank Schwarz, a government spy working undercover as the manager of an apartment complex. Your mission is to surveil the residents and report any illegal activities.

Set in a totalitarian, dystopian state where the government controls all aspects of life, Frank is a former government agent who has been framed for a crime, losing his job and getting arrested. He avoids prison by striking a deal with a high-ranking official, becoming a spy for the party.

As the apartment manager, Frank must search apartments, find contraband, and report suspicious behavior. He has to balance his duties with maintaining his cover, supporting his family, and plotting to regain his original position. The game is nonlinear, allowing for choices that lead to multiple endings, and focuses on manipulation and strategy.
